Cre-scen-do has fallen into our laps, fully formed, bright and shiny, sounding as if they’ve always been there, sounding like they need to stay on repeat. And so they will.  This versatile, energetic LA -based 5 piece is going to be very busy this spring: the fortunate can catch them at SXSW in March, in Los Angeles with Part Time Punks on April 19th, a West Coast tour in May/June followed by Europe in October.

The renaissance of 80’s and early 90’s infused pop has continued over the past few years and 2015 looks to be stronger than ever. While still 18 in our hearts, we were there to hear and see our 80’s greats in their heyday and are still devoted  to these worthy icons: New Order, OMD, and The Cure, all the Manchester and Brit Pop gems and, knowing their greatness and promise, Step On eagerly follows new bands that pick up this great narrative: Pop as something alternative and original, a still cool, uncorrupted, and underground tradition begun when Post-Punk and New Wave was new. We can confirm that Cre -scen-do fits right in alongside the classics and among the brightest new stars of shoegaze, dream pop, dreamgaze, and all the other permutations of naming new music that we just call “LOVE!”

We’ll be following Cre-scen-do’s tour dates and releases (debut album Lost Thoughts released in September 2014 and a yet to be named  record in summer 2015), with more news to follow.
