It’s Labour Day weekend, and we Torontonians meet that news with a little less sadness than in previous years, for we’ve had the hottest and the longest summer we can remember. I think we can say we are ready for fall tights, fall clothes, and fall temperatures.

But there’s still time to celebrate the end of summer with Labour Day weekend at Electric Island Concert & Picnic on Hanlan’s Point. The summer series which touched down for each and every holiday long weekend of the season this year saw some of the best weather ever, gave people a mini-vacation and a party destination just outside of the noise and smog of downtown living, and was the site of some historic performances from notable DJs from around the globe.
