If you are looking for a fun live music filled night this weekend, look to the east. Queen East, that is!
The Duke (1225 Queen Street East) hosts the first ever performance of Joyride, a musical collaboration of highly talented and diverse Toronto-based musicians coming together with a new and eclectic concept show built around “Your guilty pleasures playlist”. Not your regular bar band or repertoire, Joyride will be sharing and trading off his and hers lead vocals and a robust & dynamic musical sound to cover some incredible vocal ground and to pop your socks off with some pop treasures done in a whole new way performed by some of our very best musicians.
The band includes Pat LoRe (lead vocals) Joanna Swan (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) Carrie Chesnutt (saxophone, vocals) Janet D Whiteway (Keys and vocals) Lucio Agostini (lead guitar and vocals) Jen Benton (bass guitar) and Robyn McDonald (drums and vocals).
Come join a rocking party where the dance floor will be packed. And say Hi!
The show promotes and supports diversity and in addition, the venue is wheelchair accessible.
Tickets are $15.00 at the door with a portion of ticket and merch sales going to support The Red Door Family Shelter.
