FEAR, the American punk band from Los Angeles, California, have been around since 1977. They are legends in the punk rock world, pioneering a California punk sound and style which many bands have imitated over the years. And on September 19th, they graced the stage of House of Independents in Asbury Park, NJ with their 40th Anniversary tour.

Front man and guitarist Lee Ving was joined onstage by Geoff Kresge on bass, Spit Stix on drums, and Eric Razo on guitar. Ving’s infamous “12341234” was often the intro to many songs as he told the crowd, “This is a sing-a-long!” They played all the favorites including “Let’s Have a War”, “Beef Bologna”, “New York’s Alright if You Like Saxophones”, “I Love Livin’ in the City”, and “More Beer”.

If you are lucky, you can check out FEAR on October 27th at the Surf City Blitz in Huntington Beach, California where they will perform with The Offspring, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, T.S.O.L., and more!
