Due to the ongoing pandemic outbreak of Covid 19, Canadian Music Week has been postponed until September. The organizers shared this message:
Due to the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19, we will be postponing the 38th edition of Canadian Music Week 2020.
The festival will now take place from September 8th-13th, with the conference remaining at the Sheraton Hotel from September 9th-11th.
All badges and wristbands will be honoured at the new dates, and we look forward to returning in the fall of 2020.
“The health and safety of Canadians along with our speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, visitors, and staff is our number one priority,” said Neill Dixon, President of Canadian Music Week.
At this time we are working with our speakers, moderators, panelists, and exhibitors to confirm their availability for our new dates. We will be updating our website in real time as this information becomes available to us.
Our Canadian Radio Awards is now confirmed for Wednesday, September 9th. Comedian and Cash Cab Canada Host Adam Growe will be hosting the event.
The Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 10th, and we are pleased to announce that comedian Darrin Rose will be our host for the evening.
We are working with all of our artists, partners and venues across the city to reschedule our festival shows.
CMW encourages you to support independent artists during this time of uncertainty and keep listening to music! We look forward to see you in September.
